Diese leckeren Falafel aus Süßkartoffel und Mais sind super lecker und eine tolle Abwechslung auf Deinem Speiseplan. Zusätzlich sind die Falafel vegan und somit die ideale Mahlzeit für alle, die auf tierische Produkte verzichten wollen.     Sweet potatoes

    Vegetable oil
  • 1
    Onions
  • 2
    Garlic cloves
  • 40 g
    Chickpea flour
  • 800 g
    Chickpeas
  • 1 TSP
    Cumin
  • 1 TSP
    Paprika powder
  • 1 TSP
    Salts
  • 1 pinch
    Pepper
  • 0.5 TL
    Pepper
  • 2 TBSP.
    Ajvar
  • 275 g
    Maize
  • Chili powder
  • Parsley

Zubereitung

  • 1

    Prick the sweet potato a few times with a fork. Then place in the microwave and cook on a high setting for 10 minutes

    Finely dice the onion and garlic. Put some oil in a pan and heat it up. Then add the onion and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent

    Place the chickpea flour in a blender with the canned chickpeas, the fried onions and garlic, the cumin, paprika powder, salt and pepper and a pinch of chili and process everything into a coarse mixture

    Put everything in a bowl

    Scrape the inside of the soft sweet potato with a spoon. Add the mixture to the chickpea flour mixture in the bowl along with the ajvar, corn and parsley

    Mix everything carefully and season to taste

    Place the bowl in the fridge for 30 minutes

    Form flat balls with wet hands and spread them on a baking tray lined with baking paper as soon as the mixture is firm

    Put enough oil in a large pan and heat it up

  • 10

    Now place the falafel in the hot oil and flatten them slightly with a spatula

  • 11

    Fry them for about 4 minutes until golden brown. Then turn and fry the other side

    Serve with dip and enjoy!
