The Skyr Protein Drink from LiveFresh brings Icelandic skyr in a ready-to-drink format: 250 ml per bottle, 30 g of protein⁵, no added sugar⁴, and preserved using high-pressure processing rather than heat¹. Skyr makes up about 45% of the recipe, with fruit puree and a hint of lemon juice added depending on the variety—or, in the case of the Ube Latte Style, coconut water and ube powder.
The original three varieties have now grown to five. In addition to blueberry, passion fruit, and cherry, there’s lemon and—as the latest creation—the Ube Latte Style, featuring the purple yam from Southeast Asia.

30 g of protein per bottle is the core of the product. To put that in perspective: A conventional yogurt drink provides about 9 g of protein and 25 g of carbohydrates per 250 ml. The Skyr Protein Drink contains roughly three times as much protein with about half the carbohydrates⁶.
Protein contributes to an increase in muscle mass and helps maintain muscle mass.⁵ This makes the drink ideal for anyone who wants to meet their daily protein needs without having to mix powder or carry a shaker around.
No sugar is added⁴. The sweetness comes from the fruit itself, rounded out with sucralose and steviol glycosides from stevia. The sugar listed in the nutrition facts comes from milk and skyr in the form of lactose, as well as from the fruit content.
All varieties contain a collagen hydrolysate blend. Since there are no approved health claims for collagen in the EU, we only list the amount: The Ube Latte Style contains 16.8 g per bottle.
One point we want to make clear: The collagen hydrolysate is derived from beef. The Skyr Protein Drinks are therefore not vegetarian.
Since it isn’t heated, the drink should be stored in the refrigerator at a maximum of +8 °C. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume promptly.
