During the Christmas season, a sweet Christmas tree is a must at our Advent party. This is a tree decorated with apples and ground nuts filled sweet yeast dough, which is baked in the shape of a fir tree. The filled Apple and cinnamon Christmas tree is sprinkled with powdered sugar before serving and then enjoyed!

Ingredients (1 portion):
2 yeast dough
4 apples
200g ground almonds
1 tbsp cinnamon
50g brown sugar
Preparation:
- First wash and finely grate the apples
- Next, mix the grated apples, ground almonds, cinnamon and brown sugar well together
- Now roll out the yeast dough, spread the mixture on top and cover with the second yeast dough
- Then cut out a Christmas tree, twist the ends and brush with egg yolk
- Finally, place in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C fan oven
- Ho ho ho - enjoy!
